hello <3 i've been having issues with my weight for a while now and i wanted to hear it from someone else. i'm 14, 5'4, and i weigh 130 pounds. is that unhealthy? should i lose weight? ive tried starving myself but it doesnt work and i hate being weak it makes me feel horrid about myself. everyone around me has stunning figures and they dont even have to try!
hi there! i wish i was more qualified to answer this for you but to be honest, i know next to nothing about healthy height-weight ratios! so ill just try to give you some advice based on what i do know :)
personally, i don’t think you are overweight at all (in new zealand we use kgs, not pounds, so i just converted it online to get a better gauge of your weight on my terms). whatever you do though, please don’t starve yourself, it’s so bad for your physical and mental health ! there are much better ways to lose weight if you really feel you need to, and i would recommend talking to a close friend or family member about it first. maybe you could visit your doctor and get their opinion as well? there’s nutritionists and other experts you could see that would help you lose weight in a healthy way, with the right foods and exercise and so on. that’s always the best way tbh, eating healthily and going to the gym/running/dancing/whatever other physical activity you might enjoy the best!
i know it can feel like sometimes everyone else has it really easy, but keep in mind that there are always so many people struggling with issues like this as well, even if it’s not always obvious - everyone worries about their appearance, especially when it has to do with weight, now and again! keep your chin up and have a chat with someone before you make a proper decision okay. i hope this has helped you out a bit! good luck love xx
