you know, i ask myself this too sometimes! i feel like her relationships with matt and tyler make so much more sense, and while i ship both those ships too (because caroline is so damn shippable like that!), there’s something about klaroline that’s just so incredibly compelling. i think that candice and joseph have fantastic chemistry as actors, and that klaus understands a part of caroline she isn’t even really aware of yet - her desire for something bigger, or something more from life outside mystic falls. also i love the way that caroline despises klaus on one hand, but is at the same time irresistibly drawn to him?? idk i’ve always been attracted to love/hate relationships, just look at my two biggest otps: delena and dair! i honestly never expected to like klaroline as much as i do, and i know klaus does so many horrible things, but i really hope there’s potential for him and caroline because i think they could learn a lot from each other.
