i could cry because she was having all these flashbacks to when things were simpler, when all she knew was her humanity, and now she’s dead… but she’ll come back as a vampire, something she’s never wanted to be

They BETTER NOT turn Elena in the season finale, ughh so much hate for this potential storyline. The thing I love most about Elena is how much she appreciates her own humanity, she’s the very opposite of a Bella-esque character who thinks being human is a weakness that should be quickly disposed of, and having her turn (especially so soon) would just go against everything about her and her journey so far. Remember when she told Stefan she’d never wanted to be a vampire? And her own father died for her just so she wouldn’t have to be? Her very fight for her own humanity is a defining part of who Elena is and crucial to the whole dynamic of the show and her relationships with not just the Salvatores but the other characters as well.
